All true. And remember, we have spent 2plus years engaged in Covid theatre, then Putin theatre, climate catastrophe theatre, and now Musk theatre. So, the viewpoint from my small chair at the back of the theatre is, I don’t care.

Agree with you totally. The guy comes off as somewhat likable because he'll make a comment here and there against the collective, but you have to remember where his wealth comes from and if he wants to keep it, to whom he answers to. He may be allowed to pull their dog chains a little, but never too much. The "elites" can reel him in anytime they get ready.

Well, I don't tweet, don't facebook , don;t even utube, and haven't watched a TV in 12 years or so.

Made a decision back in 68 (after reading Vonnegut's Player Piano) to stay computer illiterate, and have managed to stick pretty darn close to that. Don't feel like I'm missing out on very much.

As for that stock market, my dad told me a real long time ago that the stock market was rigged to separate anyone not connected to an insider from their money. Might take a while, but it will.

Personal experience tells me my dad was a pretty smart guy.

Yeah. I'm really not getting all the excited giggles on one hand, gnashing of teeth on the other. Never used twitter. Peeked a few times, especially during the freedom convoy as they had some good footage. Good footage is about as valuable as it seemed to get. And Musk? Never thought about him much. Just very suspicious, as I am of everyone these days. No one is coming to save us. Today, even writers I have respected who said essentially that are batting their lashes over this guy. It's another distraction.

Reasonably valid commentary. But as technocrat grifters, we have a lot of people and their cronies doing a lot worse. I'll give him credit for at least rhetorically standing athwart our censorious Neo-Fascist Eugenicist Oligarchy yelling STOP. But not to worry! They will either bring him to heel, or take him down soon enough.

He's a cat batting a ball of string...and progs go mental.

He may be a fraud, but bless him for setting prog hair on fire.

Somebody with a deep voice needs to do it. In this case it's Musk.

The rest is just noise...and distraction.

Thank you for the reminders. It is hard to figure the net effect of his potential takeover. We all want Twitter to freed of censorship. There would be many who would fight him on this. Google/YouTube would be threatened. The U.S. government, deep state and "Trusted Network Initiaitive" media would fight back. Blackrock and Vanguard, also major stakeholders would fight back as they have stakes in the censorship and pro pharma narratives upheld on Twitter. Didn't Musk make quite a bit of money in a short period of time buying and selling Bitcoin? The owners of Gab wrote back many counter scenarios and identified roadblocks that Musk would face that they have already conquered in part by having their own servers and cloud services. Musk could be planning ahead to utilize the future satellite network as alternative to existing options?

First, outstanding work. Some commentators might have misunderstood you as hating on Elon Musk's success rather than examining the rise and reach of the Elon Musk cult of personality, and what the likely outcomes might be.

So we have a potential billionaire savior of "free speech" who is receiving massive and largely uncritical support for potentially being a savior. This amounts to an open admission that our Constitutional Republic no longer exists, that the Bill of Rights has been effectively suspended, and that all the legal and institutional checks and balances we had put in place to protect liberty have been negated or otherwise rendered ineffective. Now, we depend on the "enlightened benevolence" of the billionaire class.

This does have more risks than many of Elon Musk's admirers seem willing to acknowledge. So I am grateful for your strong contrarian take on our current situation.

So you know this is coming, right? The objection or concern? You state: "Decentralized networks are the only solution to destroy the information monopolies that states refuse to regulate and prefer to collude with instead." Cool.

But you know that our alphabet agencies do have some infiltration with at least some of the people and groups working to establish and maintain these decentralized networks. To cite an earlier example, we know of Spooky spooks being involved with BitTorrent. Not saying it or torrent networks are useless or irredeemably compromised: not at all. Not saying things are hopeless, not at all. But just our government and some other governments do have some very smart people who work for them -- even if we never see these people on TV. So just a caution.

Second, and related point -- and as you did earlier for the blockchain (cryptocurrency currency) exchanges: please consider putting out a brief guide or overview for people who want to learn more. Where to get started, etc. I know from the comments that the readers of Good Citizen, and the participants in the forum, are not "dummies" -- so I am not calling for a "Dummies Guide" exactly. But for a novel (to many people) concern, a brief overview with links to resources might be highly useful.

All best!

He must be a huge narcissist since he´s willing to do it. He likes the idea of the masses praising him for being kinda god-like, protecting free speech without any alterior motives what so ever. Right.

Nice reality check. It's been quite interesting to watch. It's almost as if people are easily manipulated and can't think for themselves. :-) Well done.

Elon is probably Twitter's biggest retard. He's dumb . . . a buffoon. If anyone is still on Twatter, just spend a few hours reading $TSLAQ posts by some people who've been following his exploits for the past several years. He's never invented anything, SpaceX is a fraud, and he builds cars in a tent. My hope is that all the people we think are villains are as stupid as fElon.
